Mayórkass was obviously a hardcore believer in the Obama-created liberal-globalist Dreamers Act scheme and wanted to keep that alive; after all, he himself was born in Cuba and did not want to close the border on his fellow dreamers. Plus, he took direct orders from the Biden Administration that said to leave it open, cut the wires, and let the millions invade the USA. Either way, both he and this administration need to be removed from office because they failed to protect the borders and the American citizens. Never again. Vote for somebody else; it does not matter who or which party; just not this failed, very disgraced administration.

I love reading the comments, because it is an insight into who understands the US Constitution.
1. Even if the House votes to impeach DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the proceeding moves to the Senate for another hearing. 60 votes from the Senate are required to remove the Secretary from office. There is a higher chance of Mayorkas resigning on their own.
2. The US Constitution clearly outlines the definition of traitor.
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."
3. Regardless of your opinion on immigration, we are not at war with any country within the Americas. Under Federal law 8 U.S. Code § 1158, people can legally request asylum into the US.
4. Since > 90% of asylum seekers show up for their hearings and > 75% of those people are denied asylum, the best solution is increasing the resources for asylum seekers so they can be processed and returned to their country of origin.

Republicans instigate the problem by constantly saying everywhere, "The border is wide open", like it's an invitation, telling the whole world come on over. Then they blame Biden or Mayorkas because people come here.
It's Congress's job to fund border control and reform the laws.
The problems at the border are the direct result of Congress's (the Republic Cons unwillingness) failure to reform our immigration laws.
