All the people that believe this mother should be held responsible in any way, for her sons actions, is no different than Donald J Trump SHOULD be held responsible for the deaths at the a WH because he did nothing to quell the anarchy he called for, from his followers.

CNN is defending this women. One commentator said The son told the court psychiatrist he lied. He never reached out to his parents for help. Just how would CNN know that ? Sounds like he is trying to protect his parents. More than they ever did for him.
That community is a gun community(hunting). They will let the parents off because this could be them. They all give guns to their children.

Why should she be punished for a murder she did not commit. Fine, she can be punished for buying him a gun, but there are so many others doing the exact same thing. There are republican politicians posting Christmas cards with their entire family, kids and all, holding semi-automatic weapons! But this woman is being charged for manslaughter because she and her husband bought their son a weapon, something well-known politicians are also doing. Make it make sense? They are just trying to make an example of people. But punishing innocent people will not bring back the dead.
Beyond the slam dunk physical evidence, the fact that they both attempted to escape, they both knew they were in the wrong.
I hope white privilege isn't used to protect the parents per usual in this country. NO the parents bought their child a gun knowing he had issues. They need to be held accountable.

Do you know Kyle Rittenhouse the Kenosha shooter was 17 years old lived in Antioch Illinois about 20-ish miles from Wisconsin. Well his mother helped him purchased a gun and A.R. 57 using the stimulus money than he thought he would be all patriotic and go on a spree saying he was protecting the community during a BLK March that kid got off for killing someone saying self defense .. no way “ his motive was clear . That case needs to be revisited .
While I fully agree with charging her for buying the gun. If the child got the gun elsewhere it is not entirely the parents fault. My main point is when do we start pressing charges against the schools for lack of security. You demand we send our kids to your schools to learn your curriculum unless we can afford private schooling. Yet you refuse to protect our children. Instead you cry about gun control as if that solution will come quickly enough to prevent more.
She admitted he showed anxiety a few times over what to do with his life, that there maybe didn't warrant a trip to the psychiatrist but should have raised concerns about their sons mental health and they should have made sure that gun was taken away and secured until he was set right, after seeing and hearing about everything going on with kids and mental issues they should understand why people feel they had a responsibility of making sure that child had to access no the gun period. But they did nothing. Not sure what else is true or not true, but from other things he has done, if it's true, then yes, he should have been treated by a professional and the parents gave him the gun they should be responsible for taking the gun and getting him help, but as this plays out we will find out what's true and what's stories people are making up.

When the shooter told his parents there was a spirit in their house (an hallucination), they locked him out.

Aren't the parents ultimately responsible for the responsibility of rearing their children? They are the backbone of their children. They are the DNA of their children. But they have no power over their childrens DNA. Wasn't that an unforeseen consequence of their production or their children? I don't think you can hold a parent responsible for their offspring. One because,as they say, it takes two to tango. And can you really blame both parents for their involvement in creating a monster? How can you prove that one of them is responsible for their combined creation of said monster?
They bought him the gun.
They ignored the bloody drawing he made.
They ignored his teachers and guidance counselors.
They failed to secure the gun.
They taught him how to use it.
They even told he "dont get caught lol" when he had violence drawings and writing about harming people at his school.
This should be a slam dunk. These parents are either evil or negligent.
