More than two years after the Oxford High School massacre, a historic trial begins this week for Jennifer and James Crumbley, as prosecutors seek to do what has never been done before: hold parents criminally responsible for a deadly mass school shooting.
After months of legal feuding and mudslinging by lawyers, it will finally be up to a jury to decide this unprecedented and significant issue. Legal experts stress that the first critical task at hand, jury selection, could ultimately decide the case.

Omg I've never seen lawyers act like that in court. The defence lawyer is acting like a silly teenage girl, arms folded 'I wasn't sobbing". My eye make up is still on..".
My god that defense attorney is so unprofessional. I'm currently at the 5 hour mark, and the prosecutor and witness are gloving up to handle evidence. The defense leans her elbow on the desk and rests her chin in her palm. It's such a rude and condescending gesture. If I were on the jury I would find for the prosecution just because of the defense's behavior. I know that's not how it's supposed to work, but I just cannot stand that woman.
The prosecutors not appreciating the defendant and her lawyers crying and needing a break when the judge said “don’t wear your heart on your sleeve and wear your poker face” so no one sways the juror’s is so valid. Tate’s parents were probably there watching that surveillance…. With their poker face. And the judge defends crumbly and her lawyer. Not loving the judge…….
There are already gun laws in place that a licensed gun owner is responsible for properly securing the weapon. They broke that law. Add in the negligence of knowing their son was mentally ill and not only left the gun unsecured, but actually gave him a gun as a present. They are liable. We don't need stricter gun laws. We need them to be enforced when they are broken.
Prison has definitely had its toll on Jennifer! It’s like she’s turned up for court 20 years later! I get there’s no hair dye in prison, and I guess there’s not much to do so you eat from commissary, but she could have brushed her hair.
So it is possible to gain weight in your nose.
The defense lawyer is super annoying.
These parents are not the son and further, this lengthy process is the punishment …! The system already took everything these parents had. Their home, vehicles, life savings and their possessions… Bills haven't been paid, credit cards are overdue and these parents have nothing left to take from, or home to return… Either way, the system utterly destroyed these parents’ lives … This is not justice!
The prosecutor’s ominous plot is darker than her own shadow…!
If convicted, this would be the first case to set precedence!
Michigan may become the most legally dangerous state for parents to have children!
Who could legally chance being parents in Michigan?
You can forget about child adoptions and foster homes if convicted…! This would annihilate countless Michigan families by association only benefitting the legal system financially in guise of child safety!…
This judge seems very sweet, but cannot control the room. Grab your gavel, ma’am and speak up!!!
The defense attorneys anxiety is giving me anxiety. Im interested in seeing how this trial plays out. Sad that these poor children were terrorized and murdered.
Is there something wrong with the defense lawyer? Her intonation is so bizarre. She sounds so disingenuous and like she is reading from a piece of paper that someone else wrote for her. This so-called “mother” knew her son was having mental problems, and decided to go out and buy him a gun. She did this four days before the mass murders. Four days.
Half the people in this world have no clue how dangerous their children are.
I hope someone called to let the defense attorneys know that the prosecution was coaching the witnesses on the stand. This is disgusting and foul.
It's painfully obvious the state is attempting some sorta show trial in an effort to burn these parents at the stake. Disgusting! We must also remember this was the same state that hatched a plot to kidnap their tyrannical governor and frame American citizens as these wild, trumptards. 😂😂 yall funny af
Literally take better care of the horse than their child how pathetic
It seems to me they are lucky to not have also lost their lives that day. This young man was dangerous to everyone.
If my lawyer, court appointed or otherwise, quoted a radio pop song in her opening statements, I would just plead guilty at that point.
This defense lawyer does not seem to be very experienced! From AKRON, OHIO
That defense lawyer that was crying in the court room watching evidence should have prepared herself for this by watching this previously, I think she did yhis so that the jury might have some kind of affect to it !Lawyers play these tricks at time's so to hopefully get sympathy with the jurors! From AKRON, OHIO
The defense lawyer sounded like a young kid herself and really didn't present herself as an adult in my opinion from AKRON, OHIO
Barblu. This case will be the start of of holding more parents responsible for what their kids have done or do!from AKRON, OHIO 😢😢
So Jen's gonna use the "Sgt Schultz Defense" where you know nothing, don't see nothing, didn't hear nothing…
that defense attorney is Dr. Nassar’s lawyer
Sorry for the Parents my Condolences, but I fail to understand why are they issuing license to kids
If they convict her then they need to convict all parents of murderers.
She looks like this has really taken a toll on her. I actually feel sorry for her.
this defense lawyer talks like a chat gpt kindergartener
This trial is important. It has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment. Rather, it is about common sense gun laws that our legislators intentionally fail to address.
Laws that are necessary because of irresponsible gun owners.
For something this deadly, that many happily put in the hands of children, there are very few regulations to protect, not only the child, but the rest of society.
I hope she serves jail time her and her husband both knew what was going on maybe these parents who lost their children can have some closer.
The defense opening statement…. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Jennifer looks like shes aged quite a bit since her arrest.
I’m all about the 2nd amendment but I’m 15 and my dad has a FFL. All of our guns are locked up. I don’t have access to them or our ammo. I’ve never wanted to kill anyone else but if I did, I could not use a gun because I could not get to it. She should have followed the law. It’s there for a reason.
