Kayakers rescued by cruise ship in Gulf of Mexico

A Carnival cruise ship rescued two men stranded in a kayak in the Gulf of Mexico. The men climbed into the kayak after their boat went down. Crew members aboard the Carnival Jubilee spotted the men off the coast of Mexico while the ship was sailing from Texas to the Caribbean.

  1. Glad All is well with the kayak men.

  2. … Hallelujah 🎉
    GO Chiefs 🎉

  3. Looks like a blow up canoe to me

  4. What are they doing out there 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

  5. It’s a good thing it’s a rainbow tie die kayak🌈🌦️ easier to spot.

  6. I’m on the cruise ship right now! It was awesome saving them

  7. The guy in back wasn't even wearing a life jacket.

  8. Good job to captain all good check see ❤ good job staff to .carnival jubilee captain ect well done 👏 ❤❤

  9. So to be rescued means boarding a cruise ship and be around cruise people?
    No thanks.

  10. I’m so glad they got rescued. I wonder how long their boat sank before the rescue.

  11. You have to wonder how many thousands of people lose their lives at sea because they didn't luckily get rescued by a passing ship.

  12. As someone who has never been on a cruise yet, 6:50 view was absolutely beautiful…..I wish you'd show that water view more. I love how the ship trail looks! Amazing 🎉

  13. Getting that close is really dangerous because you could get sucked under by the engines and chopped up.

  14. If you can see land from the ships deck, you couldn't see it from sea level where the kayak is

  15. Oh, thank God that they were safe that must’ve been horrible but again that’s one way of getting a free cruise in 1 mile

  16. They made sure they were not fugitives

  17. I’ll keep this in mind the next time I need a free cruise!

  18. No fun when your boat slips into the sea 🌊 😮
I got rescued by a cargo ship full of mangoes 🥭 and was dropped off on a nearby island.
Was taken care of by the kind people there for a week while storms passed and was taken back home!

Thank you kind people of Saba and the Crew of the cargo ship that found us!❤️

  19. That’s one way to get a free cruise

  20. Thank God they were rescued 🙏

  21. I'm glad they got rescued, but I really wish people would stop calling those open plastic rafts kayaks. The 2 boats have nothing in common except their relative size. Would be better to call that plastic thing a canoe, though it looks more like a body board with ridges.

  22. Now that's one way to get a free cruise 🛳!!!

  23. That's the best rescue ship atleast, a cruise ship, instant vaca after rescue

  24. Where are they saved?? Don t see that

  25. Are you sure this isn’t a modern day commercial with diversity casting 😅

  26. They show the people on the kayak. Then in the back ground you can see land and houses. Half way through the video

  27. Straight outta a Gary Larson far side comic meme lol they’re unbelievably lucky and mentally strong!!!

  28. I just had to laugh when I saw the black guy😂 he’s definitely never going on a boat again 😆😆

  29. How awesome! They spotted them and we're at the right place at right time..how big that ocean is that's a miracle they were in that exact spot!

  30. You can easily spot the people who have never kayaked and fail to understand water currents and fail to understand how exhausting it is to paddle a cheap recreational kayak not made for sea swells but rather flat water. They would have died of thirst before they made it to land.

  31. Those that commented "It's not that far out to the land" have never been to the ocean and experienced it's foul condition firsthand…at best they experienced it from the comfort of their cruise ship cabin.

  32. Just a cpl cajuns looking for a free cruise.

  33. I know people are saying they can see land, but I'm guessing the currents kept pulling them out. They are at least 2 miles from the shore and it's exhausting trying to paddle against the currents! Plus the big ocean swells could easily knock over a kayak in those deep waters. It must have been terrifying.

  34. I don't see land, if it is way out at the horizon that is a VERY long hard distance to row and worse if it is against the tide.

  35. Someone didn't want to miss their trip.

  36. Wow imagine being lost out there in a little azz raft thinking you might never make it then a giant cruise ship pops up outta nowhere lol

  37. Definitely not far enough from land to cause an immediate panic. Surely they would eventually get themselves back before they were in danger from lack of water or food. But still far enough away to be a high risk of the waves or wind carrying them farther away. Glad they got help quickly!

  38. Hey… uh can we get some buffet??

  39. I won’t say you can see dry land as others are saying, but you can see they were very very far out from being able to alert others near “dry land” for help.
Water emergencies are the worst any human could ever experience. Help is very limited

  40. They're not that far from land. You can see the shore in the background…
