College is my biggest regret. I went for aerospace engineering though. You don't pick that up through otj training. But i burned out, and felt compelled to finish something because everyone demanded "a bachelor's degree/any degree"

When I hired people ( electro / mechanical field) my most valuable candidates had completed an electronics tech school. College grads all wanted to start as a supervisor or Manager, they did not get hired. You must bring some value to the business, experience is always best.
Hey Mike, where are you going to be when everything is revealed? I need to follow. People arent going to be awake enough and I'm petrified for my 80 yr old mother in cali, who knows but can't afford to get out. I know what's coming which makes me desperate to prepare which is hard with family who isn't buying it. I'm not smarter than them, I just have knowledge they don't believe. How do I tell them it's not an opinion, coming from a very opinionated person? I know I am, but I also KNOW I am not wrong and that is frustrating

Students should look at trade schools. Much less expensive and will give students an actual career.
Being educated does not mean you are smart. Higher education is great. I have met a lot of ppl that possess education but no common sense. I have also met ppl from both sides of the fence that started out from the "School of Hard Knocks" & are not full of themselves.
The big problem with degrees is that the school loads on a bunch of classes you dont need.
It’s been useless since corporate started requiring it.
Stop government backed student loans and the costs would collapse.

Going to College and with a Parent Paying for College for their Kids is a Costly Expense for over 20 years old the Kid went to college and got No Good Degree that he/she can use!
