NBC’s Maura Barrett reports on how a quick-thinking 8-year-old saved her and her sister after the car they were in had been stolen at a local carwash in Wisconsin. The girls were with their dad, who stepped away for a moment to give directions when the car was stolen.

Shoutout Charley, what a smart, brave girl. Can't imagine how Adam felt seeing his car peel out with his daughters inside smh, and not to mention how Mrs. Jorgenson's heart must've dropped after answering that call. Wild situation, thankfully none of them were physically hurt.
Years ago I heard some advice to always lock your car when you get gas because thieves could snatch your bag off the seat and be off before you had time to react. But this is frightening to see that children are at risk. Good to highlight the danger and glad they made it back.
It is a crying shame that that wonderful amazing child had to learn to understand what courage is at only 8 years old.
These cars that automatically unlock when you walk closer need to be removed or adjusted
