How can he be kicked off for insurrection when he has not been charged or found guilty of insurrection? How can any thing that happened Jan 6th be called insurrection? Don't you think those who were supposedly trying to "take over the government" would have been armed? It is only an opinion that he is an insurrectionist. LJ… I disagree. Although not a legal scholar, just a viewer, with your assessment. You mention five issues but only addressed three. So here is what I believe. First, citizen Dump is clearly covered under 14th sec 3. Second, lower courts “finding”, in fact, Dump engaged in insurrection… clearly not an issue for SOTUS to address. Furthermore, anyone who has knowledge of the facts leading up to and beyond January 6th very clearly can see he did engage insurrection.
Finally, 14th sec three is self executing… note Congress can act to allow DUMP to be on ballot… they do NOT decide whether or not… clearly, even to a layperson.
So… to me… should be for most, if media didn’t spin everything,
“IT IS SIMPLY… LOSER J DUMP IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE ON THE BALLOT … even for dog catcher if you need to take an oath of that office.

This was the point of the Congressional Hearing about January 6. There is so much evidence on the record and all of it points to one person.
This amendment (14, sect 3) effects eligibility to HOLD an office, so calling this a ballot issue is somewhat misleading.

Trump took the "Presidential Oath of OFFICE" to be inaugurated, and that oath has the word "office" right in it!
How many yrs have passed since the 14th amendment was passed doesn't mean it's obsolete, it hasn't come up since then only because Trump is the 1st POTUS since then who engaged in an insurrection {finding of fact via due-process trial in Colorado).
Until & unless Congress has already changed our Constitution, our Supreme Court's mandate is to uphold our Constitution "as is".
This act IS supporting the voters' prior elections & other votes, and does NOT deprive voters of rights. Not every decision of our administration is voted on., and this includes that the interpretation of our Constitution is necessarily assigned to the expertise of the highest court in our land!
The Jan 6th violence & acts leading up to it aren't't the only insurrectionist acts Trump engaged in (or aided & gave comfort to),
there was also the fake electors sheme in conjunction with pressuring VP Pence to stop his obligate certification of the supervised count of valid electors. Insurrection can be a "white collar crime" too.

Trump hasn’t been charged with INSURRECTION in the THREE YEARS since Jan 6. What is taking soooooo long???? I suggest you read the 14th Amendment if you think Trump should be disqualified; specifically READ Sec 3. It’s called the “disqualification clause” for a reason!
I really have faith the court will make the right decision at least on this. It’s an extremely important case, which will determine if we have a president or a king. The president is supposed to protect and defend the constitution, of which the certification of an election is written in.

What to expect ….. Well considering how corrupted the Supreme Court is, they won't side with the constitution, as the Colorado Supreme Court did, but will side with party.
A partisan court with no real ethical standards is capable of anything . There's a chance right now Trump is trying to influence the judges no different than he tried with Brad Raffensperger the Georgia Sec of State after the 2020 election.
