Did you know the JB Administration under the (asylum) Refugee Act of 1980 sets the cap on annual refugee intake? The United States only has to take in 62,500 a year if JB enforced this but no we have 8.9 million and counting coming into the US. The Biden Administration changed the annual cap from Trump's 19,500 to 62,500. Also, under Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA)…the border agents can remove undocumented illegal immigrants immediately from the US. Biden had the power all along…. The taxpayers paid $151 billion in 2022 and over $300 billion in 2023 to take care of illegal immigrants and to pay for their legal fees for their day in the immigration courts.
