Why do we see it again and again that none of the soldiers jumped off a troubled aircraft? Why is there no protocol for them to do so? Indeed, why are they not even wearing their parachutes at such times? The most dangerous jump is better than dying in a burning inferno of aviation fuel.

Why was there so much hype about missing marines. It seems logical that the first place to look would be the crash/landing site, even if no visible movement. Don't military aircraft have emergency locator beacons? Why were hundreds of gov. workers mobilized to stand around in a parking lot? Overtime pay? There is so much about this story (especially white house involvement) that smells like a distraction from all of the manufactured crises that are ubiquitous.
As a veteran, and a former pilot, my condolences to the marines who were flying that mission. Flying low in mountains in bad weather is inherently dangerous.

Another weird thing about this story is the refueling part. Why did they have to refuel? That helicopter has a 1,200 mile range, and Las Vegas to San Diego is only 200 miles. Furthermore, they said they lost the helicopter right after it refueled, and that was about 35 miles east of San Diego. Why would it refuel when it was about 10 minutes away from it's destination in San Diego?
Very isolated area??? There is a nice asphalt road leading to a campground that is about one mile from the center of that search area. There looks to be gravel roads in good condition that go even further into the search area. Hell, Interstate 8 is only about 2 miles away. That doesn't sound all that isolated to me! Sounds pretty easily accessible, even in wet or snowy weather with the right vehicles. I've gone into mountainous back country terrain in wet and snowy conditions in a Ford Expedition and had no problems whatsoever. What is the hold up???

Survival training (desert, jungle and cold weather) is a specialized type of training and not all Marines go through it. Some may go through just one, two or none. Don't just assume that all Marines have had that type of training!
Makes no sense. They walked away? So what is that suggesting that a military helicopter isn't equipped with a tracker to always know where it is for these situations, to wait for rescue? And the marines themselves have no tracker? Lie or immense strategic failure for SOLDIERS….

..I DONT KNOW OF any other times IN U.S. HISTORY where America HAS "LOST" our Aircraft on our own home soil!! FOUR in the last several months alone!! Two ea) F15's, lost in separate incidents, and an F35 in another separate incident, and now this HIGH DOLLAR Chopper.. Its noteworthy to add that those MILITARY AIRCRAFT went "MISSING" ON our own HOME SOIL, within the borders of the 48 contiguous Continental U.S. Yet the Military claimed "We just cant find it (the aircraft)". EACH TIME IT HAS TAKEN THE MILITARY DAYS, 3-5, TO LOCATE them!!..
These incidents SCREAM ESPIONAGE: the allowing of our technology to be lifted off and/or downloaded from these downed aircraft BEFORE WE "find" and RETRIEVE them!
Those aircraft are worth AT LEAST HALF A BILLION dollars EACH; thats 'illion' with a "B", BILLION DOLLARS EACH!! Yet we are to believe they were "UNlocatable WITHIN OUR OWN COUNTRYs borders for days???? I DONT BUY IT!!!
I AM CERTAIN our Military Aircraft HAVE TRACKING/homing DEVICES AND BLACK BOXES in them, just as we do in our Commercial planes. And since these ARE HIGHLY VALUABLE, "Intelligent" MILITARY AIRCRAFT, one would conclude that rapid location of the downed Aircraft would be PARAMOUNT, and of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE!!. Therefore, you CAN BE CERTAIN THAT THEY HAVE been equipped with some type of a homing/tracking device, at a minimum, in order to MOST expeditiously facilitate their retrieval!!! So WHY couldNT we find 'em?? BECAUSE SOMEONE DIDNT WANT OR ALLOW US TO for SEVERAL DAYS. And WHY WOULD THAT be the case??? BECAUSE SOMEONE WANTED TO ALLOW SOMEONE ELSE TO HAVE AMPLE TIME TO FIND THEM FIRST, AND STEAL OUR Fighter Jet technology. And WHY WOULD ANYONE DO SUCH A THING??? GREED AND THE LOVE OF MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!!
Sadly, VERY SADLY, MANY IN OUR HIGH RANKING Government positions HAVE BECOME VERY GREEDY, and HAVE SOLD WHATEVER to WHOMEVER, in order to barter and/or broker a "sale" that BENEFITS ONLY THEM and THEIR PERSONAL bank account(S)!! This TREASON with NO REGARD to the PERSON OR the COUNTRY of the Buyer. All that matters to these 'sell outs' is that their Buyer HAS the MONEY TO BUY THEM, AND TO BUY ALL THAT GOES ALONG WITH BUYING THEM; OUR JOBS, OUR TECHNOLOGY, and OUR MILITARY SECRETS; such as our Fighter Jets ADVANCED technology, and that also of our HIGH TECH Military Choppers.
DONT THE REST OF YOU SEE THIS AS "fishy"??? SOMEONE MUST INVESTIGATE!! These jets ARE AS BIG AS a 1500sq ft house, so HOW DO YOU NOT FIND something that large?? The Military claimed they would have "crash landed" someplace after the pilot ejected; it COULDNT HAVE GONE TOOOOO MUCH FURTHER WITHOUT A Pilot!! And any "autopilot" it may have had SHOULD HAVE BEEN turned OFF, as the Pilots WERE FLYING the planes!!.. PLUS, an object THAT LARGE AND FILLED WITH JET FUEL SHOULD HAVE left a wake of OBVIOUS DESTRUCTION in its crash landing path, and quite possibly a bit of an explosion or fire should/could have occurred upon its final impact! So they couldNT find these planes cus WHY??? Shoot, "Daystar" CAN FIND YOUR CAR IF you wreck it, and are hidden in brush on some remote mountain side.. But a Fighter Jet has no means by which to locate its HALF A BILLION DOLLAR BAD BOY SELF????

With over 10 years of experience in the MC air wing on CH 46 and 53s is hard to believe they did not know when the bird went missing and where it was right away. Com/Nav system should have given that info. Maybe this new military we have now needs more training!! I know they have trouble navigating in bad weather, we used to fly by ROAD map. NO JOKE! So if they were in low vis. conditions they would not be able to see road signs or other land marks.
