The bill is a labyrinth, with corridors (laws) that are of benefit for the illegal aliens and while they keep the guise of it been related to border security, when it did nothing to protect the southern border, but in reality did everything to facilitate things for illegal aliens and open new possibilities for them. The specific language they use can be interpret differently, but in truth was for the good of illegal aliens. If something was changed in the bill, it would be completely ruined, maybe that is why they didn't want to unveil it unitl it was about time, because if a word was changed the meaning that was specifically given by those that wrote the bill could be lost.
The border bill is a bad bill.
If Democrats are expecting that immigrants always vote for Dems and not Reps then they are watching wet-dreams !
Think about this,
Highly Educated (doctors/engineers) English speaking Legal Immigrants like us (especially Indians and Chinese) who come here on H1B, pay at least $30,000 (if not more) in State and IRS taxes every year have to wait for a green card for like 15 years and even during that waiting period (all those 15 years) live under stress and fear of getting the H1B extension (which is once in 2 years) rejected for some really stupid/silly mistakes like speeding ticket or even some documentation mistakes and getting deported and start the whole application process (with huge fees) again !
In the meantime,
these uneducated, non-English speaking potential criminals casually walk across the border and immediately go on social welfare on OUR tax money? Not to mention, in no time most of these Illegal Immigrants WILL become criminals to feed themselves or their family (which is a common sense) !!! And if you are thinking that one day ICE/USCIS will deport these illegal folks then FORGET IT ! Once they are in, they are in !
