My husband and I have walked along the rocks directly underneath that A-frame house and have always looked up marveled that it's survived collapse all these years. You can walk along the cliff side and literally break off chunks of crumbling rocks with very little effort. Such a collapse of this magnitude does not surprise me.

A quick look at real estate info shows the house on the left was built in 2003 on land bought in 1997 for 1.4 mil. The property is now valued at 14 mil. I doubt it'll still be there in 2047.

I mean the rich people won't care too much abou it and it didn't even collapse a house so far. Yeah it looks very spectecular, but compared to how many homes collapsed/got destroyed because of the floodings/ flashfloods / mudflows / landslides in the last storm(s), it really doesn't matter and shows that it's really not that stupid to build on a cliff (it's only stupid, if you didn't calculate to possibility of smth like that in….) and that there are more than enough other more stupid locations to build a house…..

Well I'll tell you this much, you really don't go walking around with billions in USD cash in your pockets. So it's unlikely that these people bought it right on the spot like a 3 musketeers candy bar at the local 7 – 11 on Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach California. I'm going to have to leave it at that. I don't want to get in trouble with the thoughts police again on YouTube.
Oh, so now they're all crying about it? Okay. Earth science honors in high school taught me that while it is beautiful it is still deadly so I wouldn't make it my one & only sole property in my real estate portfolio. I'd pitch a tent in California, not build a house or especially a mansion. But hey, not everyone else is so truly that smart.
