Many years back I said its dumb to be planning trips to mars as that is as they put it themselves, suicide! I said its better to get into the moon and to build a base on the moon and to u know take baby steps. Once a base has been established on the moon then the trip to mars is much easier and rescue missions can be carried out much easier IMO.
How do they launch back, you nothing notice they never show the return launch from the moon.

Wrong about this being the first time a LOX/liquid methane engine was fired in space . . . the SpaceX Starship vehicle did it with Raptor engines during the IFT2 flight on November 18, 2023.
I used to love SpaceX. The Falcon 9 landing was something I cheered. But I can't be the only one who has completely soured on the CEO. He is a messed up guy and all my excitement and goodwill towards his companies has bottomed out. I don't want Elon to lead us into the future.
