Satellites orbit in a very orderly way. Major disturbance (a nuclear event) will mess up everything up there – including Russian satellites.
The US is conspiring to tip the nuclear scales in their favor by doing some bullshit, they first have to project what is their own intentions on the Russians. It wouldn't be just against satellites. a nuclear weapon detonated in low earth orbit can take out a whole countries power-grid. not only that but anything with electronics not protected against this are vulnerable. Satellites, Power grid, Communication, electronics in vehicles so more modern cars wont even work. This with the border being more open now than ever feels like a prep for an all out attack from within starting with crippling communications and travel.
