Lieberman was the last sensible Democrat I suppose. But once a situation reaches a certain critical mass whether it be the Middle East or the southern border, the centrist solution is just a solution that allows the momentum to continue in the same direction, but slightly slower. The solution that appears to be politically centrist is no longer a turning point
