Simple solution for immigration: reduce the number of border patrol agents needed by replacing them with a larger number of scout drones. Have rechargeable scout drones with charging station relay points at border patrol stations, and they can patrol the border faster and more effectively, sending alerts to agents when the drone spots an illegal crossing.

Alleged total deportations under Obama: 5.3 million — 3.2 million during the 1st term, and 2.1 million during the 2nd term.

Alleged total deportations under Biden: 3.7 million

However, Trump leads when detentions of migrants come into play. Trump preferred detentions over court hearings for removal. Biden had overseen more deportations throughout his 1st term compared to Trump, with the exception being in 2020 when Trump introduced Title 42 under COVID-19 as an excuse to expel migrants without due process.
Events like the border shutdowns during COVID under Title 42, post-pandemic inflationary pressures, intensification of the Climate Crisis, growing conflicts, and new restrictive border policies explain the spike in border encounters under Biden compared to Trump. There appears to be a link between international law-violating border measures like Title 42 [and the CBP One app] and recidivism.
