You need to get your russo-trumpican party members in line and remind them they are there to work for the country. At the rate these Republicans are going, they are going to be damn lucky to have this finalized by the time the Congress adjourns for the 2024 election. They just seem incapable of managing and leading in a responsible manner.
Republicans can't govern. By the time they pass the 2024 budget the 2025 budget deadline will be here. The good thing though is the less they do the less they can screw up and the less Democrats have to fix when they regain the majority in 2025 and they can get to work sooner on actually making progress in this country rather that spending half their term just cleaning up Republicans messes.
One of these days, Congress is going to have to stop putting a band aid on this problem and deal with it on a permanent basis. The reason they keep putting this off is because in order to fix the problem and reduce the deficit, it will require increasing taxes and reducing spending, neither one of which is conducive to getting re elected. And, nothing truly scares a politician more than having to get a real job.
Shutting the government down means all the little people that work for the government from paycheck to paycheck not Congress not Senate certainly not the FBI or the CIA they will continue to get paid. In the meantime it’s the Data entry clerks, People that do the payroll for all civilian federal employees. Those are the ones that won’t get paid and Congress does this all the time they use the threat of not paying the little man in order to get what they want the funds they want to allow and not allow.
