President Joe Biden will hold his first press conference next week, marking the longest any president in recent history has waited to make himself broadly available to the media.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday the president will hold a press conference on March 25, which is 64 full days into his presidency.

Biden has faced scrutiny for his delay in holding a press conference, as his two more frequent predecessors held a briefing within their first month of their presidency. Former President Barack Obama held a press conference 20 days into office, and former President Donald Trump held a briefing on his 27th day.
