You guys realize that this wouldn't be happening if there was no drug war, right? It's BECAUSE they're sold on the black market that drugs are so profitable. If we had our pharma companies manufacturing them en masse, the Cartels would be put out of business instantly. Gang violence in Latin America erupted only after the signing of the Controlled Substances Act in the 1970's. Same thing with cities here in America. Imagine if cocaine cost as much as a box of Tylenol… Gang members would have to find another hobby, or a job.
