Former Pope Benedict is asking for forgiveness over allegations he failed to take decisive action against abusers decades ago. In the letter read by his personal secretary, Benedict denied any personal wrongdoing but acknowledged mistakes in how abuse cases were handled.

There's no forgiveness for an organization that has misled billions since its inception into believing they worship God acceptably and has blood on its hands. "For [Babylon the Great's] sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind." (Revelation 18:5) The Pope, the Vatican, and the Catholic church are part of the many religions worldwide that make up a vast empire of false religions that Revelation metaphorically calls "Babylon the Great.*" As an empire, they hold sway over political leaders and rulers. However, all are guilty and unforgivable in the eyes of Jehovah God, and all are condemned to destruction by Him using the same governments they support. (Revelation 17:16,17) Just listen to her arrogance! "For she keeps saying in her heart: 'I sit as queen, and I am not a widow, and I will never see mourning.'" (Revelation 18:7) Oh, yes, she will!
Jehovah has used governments in the past to bring divine punishment and retribution. For example, he used Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon (then one of the most powerful kingdoms) against Jerusalem in 607 BCE to punish his wayward people and exile them to Babylon for 70 years until the disobedient generation died off.
* Why Babylon the Great? The reason is simple. Nimrod creates ancient Babylon, where most faiths' fundamentally similar doctrines originate. Things like the immortality of the human soul, mother-child worship, the cross, the trinity and triune godheads, hellfire, and so forth. When God confused the languages at the Tower of Babel, those people took their beliefs throughout the earth.
