  1. I'm considering for tennis… tell me if you think it's a bad decision

  2. The Olympics long ago lost their magic, everyone know sees them as just another athletic entertainment where tons of money are made and spent. When a medal in a major sport is won, it's not about the glory of winning, of being best in the world, it's about the financial rewards that result. Athletes change countries not for the honor of representing their "real" homeland but for the bucks (Miss Gu is a prime example). It is only about the money.

My Olympics viewing has been dwindling as of late, but this was the first time I watched zero. It won't be the last.

  3. Honestly there should just be no sports programs in other countries when they can get all of there athletes from the US.
Jk this is stupid. Play for whomever you want, just don't expect the same fanfare that i will give the US athletes when they come back.

  4. Gu is a traitor. She is representing a country that commits genocide. She shouldn't be allowed back in the US

  5. Whatever country the athlete trained in is the country they should represent.

  6. Maybe Gu chose China because of America's human rights record. Maybe Gu chose China because it is still legal to discriminate against Asians based on the Harvard Admission Decision where Asians are held to higher standard than whites. EVERYTHING America has is a result of human rights violations. America is not a democracy, it is a hyprocrisy.

  7. GU traded a country known for democracy democracy in which all other democracies are judged. What did she get a totalitarian regime that has stolen intellectual property, intimidated destroyed any opposition in any voice of reason. Released a virus on the world stage that has killed in excess of 1 million Americans yes that’s 1 million that’s not even the world total. They actively export illegal Chinese fentanyl which one statistic states in excess of 100,000 American lives have been lost at a recent estimate in Philadelphia expects at least 80,000 overdose victims in 2022. You have the Media in the pocket of the Chinese everyone’s doing a money grab in the Chinese are using our own technology stolen and resources to buy their way into our government. Do your own research but first of all look around look at what’s really happening get off of CNN and these other BS networks that are on the payroll and use your mind. A place I would start Peter Schweizer red-handed another well documented publication Miranda Devine laptop from hell. Before you flap back at me do your own research. If you don’t think that the Biden ministration has much money to gain why would they destroy the American petroleum industry and greenlight a Russian pipeline into Europe that was one of our markets? Why would Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz ketchup help The Chinese military complex secure a company that has our run silent technology for a nuclear submarines? Money filthy illegal money!

  8. Gu's life would have been different if she grew up in China instead of the United States tbh….

  9. Everyone is a threat to US. The only ones waving war all over the war

  10. Money, tons of money.

  11. If you compete for another country you must live there for ten years.

  12. "For supporting a country with a really questionable human rights history"
Uhuh.. You can say this about China but not the U.S.? Come on. What a joke.

  13. If these, country swooping athlete's choose to swop at the last minute,, especially after year's of training in the country they have been brought up in, therefore using facilities coaching staff and Money that could have gone to athlete's from the country's these country hopping athlete's decided not to represent, then that's sad,so what comes of the passport issue then, guess according to Olympic rule's,they then lose the second passport, that's only fare,,

  14. I worked and lived in China, I guarantee even if she gave up her US citizenship, stays in China, and lives there for 20+ years the locals will always refer to her as American.

  15. Eileen should stay in china…

  16. glad Eileen opt for her mum's root given the opportunity re anti-Asian racism. Action speak louder than words

  17. Use of VPN or not is not enforced in China. Everyone I know uses it.

  18. US always criticizing other countries about human rights but look at what you did at your border? Afghanistan? Iraq? You always pretend about caring about muslims but it is you who killed a lot of them..such hypocrites.

  19. Gu is a traitor & a sellout- China requires althletes to give up US citizenship which Gu happily told them she would/ did… When reporters ask her about it she is silent! It's America that let her train & build her skills in the sport. In China she wouldn't have been supported growing up as a nobody. ESPECIALLY with mixed blood & not being fluent in Chinese… Facts-

  20. You go to jail in china if you use VPN

  21. fake news, VPN is not illegal in China. and "genocide", we don't care such a stupid political rumor. We just wish you American media learn to respect everyone in the world.

  22. She just doesn't want to pay taxes.

  23. Hmmm I don’t know what the big deal is, it’s simply nothing more than a career move. Let the athlete decide lets not make it about politics

  24. She is not American Traitor America need to stop these Impoverished migrants

  25. Compete for whichever country gives you more support, financial and otherwise. Let’s face it, the US gives gold mentalists what, $37.5k? I bet you could negotiate a lot more from China or Russia for a gold.

  26. Should allowed to support any country you want to.

  27. We the grownups from the land of the free and home of the brave, feuded by the almighty media empires, can't stop bitching about a little girl pursuing her dreams … That my friend, is what pathetic is all about!

  28. A lot of them do it because they wouldn’t even be on the Olympic team in the other country

  29. Why is Nathan Chen even in this conversation? He was bon in Salt Lake City and raised in the U.S. his whole life ffs. I'm sure we could go down a list of many athletes that rep'd the US and Canada (my home) who have parents born in another country. But if the athlete is born in the country their repping its not even pertinent to this dialoge. Not saying imigrants to our nations can't also rep our flags hard, but just saying its for sure not an issue for anyone born in our countries. Click bate i guess.

  30. Everyone should represent the country they want to represent. what is there to discuss?

  31. Gu 's dad is White American but he never raised her, he left Eileen and her mom after she was born, and Eileen was raised all by her mother and spent every winter and summer holidays in China since she was very llittle

  32. Eileen doesn’t care she’s being used as a propaganda doll cause she’s getting good money

  33. thanks for America help all Chinese of mainland China set up patriot heart to support China government ❤❤

  34. Gu is just waiting for the call to join the ROC for the next winter olympics.
