To everyone comparing it to the Cuban Missile Crisis let me spell it out for you RUSSIA already borders NATO, you know it would be shocking if it wasn't already right next to Nato countries, they have been within range for a very long time.
In fact is not comparable because after the fall of the Soviet Union because, In 1994 Ukraine agreed to give up its Nuclear arsenal to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). If anything NATO has been very good about getting nukes out of the hands of people who should not have it, unlike Russia where it lies at the whims of ONE insecure leader.
Putin a man who's stated he wants to revive the Soviet Union and who has installed pro Russian presidents in Crimea and in Belarus, do you think anyone would want to inherit Russia and their economy? The president of Ukraine before Volodomir Zelensky was also pro Russian and if it wasn't for him Ukraine would have been captured already.
