At the risk of sounding cynical, Russia engaging in negotiations with Ukraine appears to be a distraction or front on Russia's part, rather than dealing in good faith. It actually resembles psychological warfare – in essence holding out the olive branch of peace, which, in reality, is a dead, barren twig. Pres. Putin is employing every weapon at his disposal to demoralize & crush Ukraine. The fortitude of the Ukrainians is being severely tested at every level possible. Disturbingly, Putin is subjecting his own military & civilian population to much the same treatment. Honestly, the Russian people hold the solution to this naked aggression. THEY must be the ones to stop it. God help the people of Ukraine & Russia, & God help us ALL to do the right thing.
