Former Louisville officer Brett Hankison who was accused of endangering Breonna Taylor’s neighbors in the March 2020 police raid is found not guilty on all accounts. NBC News’ Ron Allen reports on the verdict of the trial as it was the only criminal charges related to Taylor’s death.

While I don't believe race should be removed from this situation, just for sake of argument, let's pretend there are no skin colors involved.
Two people are in an apartment relaxing. They are 2nd ammendment supporters and have at least one gun. There is a deafening noise. Their door explodes inwards. Responding quickly to protect themselves from the group breaking into and entering the premise, they lift and fire a gun. They are shot. One killed. One wounded.
After the smoke clears, it is evident that police officers are the intruders. The police are not looking for the people who have been shot. They are innocent victims. How is it that so many people want to blame the victims? When you claim you support/ demand/ promise to defend gun owner'srights, why is this situation acceptable to you? Would it be okay if it were your child?

No knock raids need to stop. Using information from junkies to get a warrant needs to stop. Judges that sign off on these no knock raid warrants need to be held accountable when it is wrong. If the judges were held accountable, the police would not be requesting these warrants. If the police had to cover their own malpractice insurance they wouldn’t be taking these risks. If the police in my state needed more hours of training for their certification to be a cop than it currently requires to get certified as a barber to cut hair, then maybe they would be more dependable and consistent.

The Breonna Taylor incident is another case where police officers acted reasonably. Taylor was deeply involved in her boyfriends drug trafficking enterprise. Police served a warrant in which they actually knocked, to arrest Breonna Taylor for her complicitness in drug trafficking and other crimes. As police entered Breonna Taylor’s Bf shoots at police. The police then return fire. Taylor was not sleeping but she was standing in the hallway and gets caught in the xfire. Knowing this facts did the police act reasonably? You bet they did! You want to have a positive police encounter? Don’t commit crimes!

But they had also mentioned that due to the officers self testimony was a smart move since most juries will usually sides towards the officer and sure enough it panned out.
