Last night a Russian military drone fell on Zagreb, Croatia, our capital! We are a member of NATO. NATO members are Romania and Hungary, over which he flew for almost an hour, about 1000 km, before crashing into Zagreb, a city of about 900,000 inhabitants!

The difference in giving a fighter jet vs other weapons is that the jets would actually give Ukraine a fighting chance. The west is assuming the Ukraine will lose and doesn’t want to upset Russia and doesn’t want to prolong the war. They are waiting for zelinsky to surrender. It’s quite obvious. They are just virtue signaling with the other weapons.
What pointless distinctions: They said let Poland send the jets instead of US because then Russia can attack Poland instead of US–But if Russia attacked Poland for sending the planes, as a NATO member, US would STILL get involved in that war due to article 5.,.So it makes no difference who Poland or US sent the planes.

No. Everyone didn't "know for a fact that Ukraine wouldn't join NATO". It's a stated aim in their constitution to do everything necessary to bring about EU and NATO membership. And leaders in NATO, particularly the US (including congressional leaders) have repeatedly said that Ukraine as a 'sovereign nation' is free to pursue whatever path it chooses. And in reality this is being encouraged, as we know.
