An attack on a children’s hospital in Mariupol killed three people, including a child. Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis is growing, as the U.N. estimates over two million people have fled to neighboring countries in Europe.

Why the United allies did 'not help tbe war to stop right now.
This is so dumb they should surrender. If Ukrain was not able to join nato then they were not truly free from Russia. Poland shares a border with ukrain but wants to send planes thru USA to get there. So ask these people to fight and die.they will never win,this isn’t Afghanistan. This land belonged to Russia if we went thru collapse and Texas called themselves free from USA then we said ok that’s it we are taking it back no one would stand against us either. The media and the World stand by and watch this . It is an indictment of Western democracy that it is not strong enough as a philosophy to determine a collective agreement that it is worth defending in serious terms, other than in a country that has strived for the last 30 ears to become one and been denied membership of NATO. It is almost an affront that we are watching this happen. Once again NATO and the UN has shown complete ineffectiveness.
Unless someone is elected to speak to Putin face to face and give HIM an ultimatum , this war will continue and believe me; this is only the first battle in what will ultimately be a war against "western democracy" and directly after a significant threat to the former Warsaw Pact nations who decided to adopt it.
Putin MUST be given an ultimatum by one of the most senior ranked (or one that has retired) officials, as a nominated representative of the collective alliance which must also include those nations aligned to NATO even though not members.
The ultimatum must be clear and decisive.
Putin will NOT stop and he will expand this beyond Ukraine. 100 %.
n the meantime 38 million people who will potentially be trapped within Ukraine are having their infrastructure systematically destroyed.
Get one thing clear. If Putin wins this war, he will NOT rebuild Ukraine . He has NO intentions of doing so and millions of people will be left in ruin. The cost the the West will be enormous as it will be to Ukraine whose economy will be totally destroyed. It will get to a stage where an ultimatum will be the only way forward; but as for Ukraine it will be too late and Putin then stands to have achieved his objective.
Unless a firm stance is made with an ultimatum that NATO is prepared to back up then NATO will become fragmented and the security that is is supposed to provide is in danger of being eroded to the advantage of both Russia and China.
