When the United States and NATO are trying to plan for aide to Ukraine, ask yourself if Ukraine is on the right side of humanity. Are they a peace-loving country and do they side with Democracy? If, so by default they are a member of NATO. It does not make any difference whether they are member of NATO, now. They could be if we do all the right things. The Western free world, and the United States cannot afford to lose a country that is freedom loving and Democracy bound. Ukraine is large. If Ukraine is lost, smaller countries in the Baltics will fall much easier. Look at it from a 100 year perspective. We can't continue to lose real estate for the free world to survive.
We have to fight this war now and cannot afford to have Putin put the whole Western alliance into a corner of fear. There are hard core Soviet Russians that will follow Putin's path even after he is gone. But the fight will not get any easier as time goes on. Putin shows weakness in his military NOW. This is the best time to confront Russia.
Russia will correct its weakness in the future and will be much harder to deal with through planning and technology and cost many more lives in conflict.
We stayed out of WWII for a long time which resulted in millions more casualties because we came late. Let's not embarrass ourselves in repeating history. In the long run we will eliminate this pereia and have a safer world for it.
We have an opportunity here to go all the way to Moscow, after pushing Russia out of Ukraine. If we treat the Russian citizens with respect from it and free them from tyranny, they will never forget.
If Russian uses one nuclear weapon, we have to be all in. Prepare for it now.

Answer: When Trump was in office, the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad launched a chemical attack on Syrian rebels from a Syrian military base. Trump launched a series of cruise missile attacks on the the Syrian military base which was run by non other than Russians. It pretty much gave the message to Bashar al-Assad & Putin not to that that again. The chemical attacks immediately ended. Nothing to do with respect just pure common sense which America no longer has. TRUMP 2024 !!!
Gen. Kellogg: "We would never do that in the military.." Pure 100% unadulterated BS. I served as a medical corpsman in Vietnam. Does this "military expert" remember the Vietnam War. He should. He served in the 101st Airborne there. Do civilians watching and listening to this propaganda remember the Vietnam War. I doubt it. They don't even remember the Iraq War. Or NATO and the US bombing Libya into a failed state. Or the real genocide in Yemen we support by giving the Saudis all those cluster bombs. But the talking heads on Fox and CNN and MSNBC love war despite all their phony pearl clutching. The military/industrial complex love war. The general loves war. Everyone loves war. That's why Nixon got rid of the draft in the Vietnam War. Because we all loved war so much. And have a volunteer armed forces.
