BIDEN'S SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA WILL BACKFIRE
This could mean countries would be forced to violate US sanctions by trading directly (with Russia) for the fertilizer and oil they need. To complete the transaction with Russia, countries will be forced to go to the Chinese banking system in Chinese currency. That translates into an alternative financial model outside of the U.S. dollar. And this is exactly what the Chinese have been trying to do for years and have been unable to do.
THIS HAS ENORMOUS IMPLICATIONS If successful this could severely limit the US ability to sanction other countries. In fact it could force all EU countries who want to buy oil from Russia to go through the Chinese banking system and use Chinese Currency. Seeing the rise of the Chinese financial and banking system. Needing Russian oil the EU will continue to do business with Russia despite U.S. sanctions.
BOTTOM LINE – it could cause a potential change in the world's principal reserve currency.
The dollar has been the worlds' principal reserve currency since the end of WW2. In the past it is the most widely used currency for international trade, until now? Let's hope BIDEN wakes up to what sanctions could do to the US financial markets.
