Interestingly, as of February 7, 2020, the majority of covid cases were reported in China and per the WHO data at https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/coronaviruse/situation-reports/20200207-sitrep-18-ncov.pdf?sfvrsn=fa644293_2, the known fatality rate was at most 2.05%, not 5.0%.

He was honest about some facts: nobody knows more about virus than him.
Trump was right about China – that they did a good job controlling the virus.
He was wrong about China – that it is the China virus that caused the spread in the US very quickly.

I do have to wonder as here in Canada many Chinese people were wearing masks a good year at least prior to hearing anything about Covid-19 in March of 2020. Why were they wearing masks that long before, it was only the Chinese community that I could see. Were they warned that long prior?

This is a novel virus, and because of it, the data has been changing consistently as testing methods change and the way to deal with it change. Death rate was claimed to be 3-5%, but it was because of the way the Virus was dealt with wrongly and prematurely, shutting down, stay home, draconian, totalitarian panicked methods and a lot of corruption at hospitals, confusing inclusion of Covid death counts and inaccurate testing methods. Now we know that the number is simply BS. After all, it's now less than 0.3 percent as we know how to more accurately test and aggregate the data better As a leader, you don't panic constituents with uncertain stats and fluid, unreliable data. Democrats have edited time sensitive, fluid topic of Corona virus in such a deceptive way. If Trump has not opened up USA, we have a lot more death on our hands, not just from Corona, depression, economic destitute, and suicides. Look at Cuomo forcing elderly staying home in nursing homes and killed so many of them by weakening their immunity. Who was right at the end or the ways to get to lowering the death rate? Correct way to deal with the issue has to be trial and error, and Trump made mistakes but far better than Democrats way, just shutting down permanently, wear mask and social distance in FORCE. Now we know that Corona is actually less lethal than or at worst as much as flu. This type of misinformation reminds me of China, here. You can doctor anything by editing. Insane.
