The best way to produce electricity is with water power. It's clean, safe and sustainable. This should be developed worldwide to its maximum capabilities. There is a tremendous amount of potential for water power all over the world large and small scale. Nuclear is NOT safe or clean.

Nuclear energy is NOT safer and NOT cleaner. The nuclear rods used are deadly for hundreds/thousands of years. As far as I know there is no containment system that can outlast their deadly radiation. It is currently being stored in caves. Solve the waste issue then I will support nuclear energy production. Don't lie to me saying it is safe. True the plants perform better, the excess rods are worse than coal ash.
All sources of energy should be used .There isn't any one source that is a cure all .Every market can make their best choice for energy . Sure there will be much fighting over which source is best for each location . Try to eliminate subsidies .
So is everybody going to ignore that GE intentionally dumped PCB's into the Hudson and polluted it for hundreds of years to come if not longer? As a former GE employee, I am sad that our past leaders beginning with Jeff Immelt have consistently failed and made GE a mere shadow of its former self. The biggest and dumbest idea was caving in to political pressure in Washington, instead of selling GE Capital's bad assets and re-capitalizing the business – GE's only business that made a lot of senior GE officers rich. What a dumb decision that was.
