I work in IT, there's definitely a preference for White, Asian, and Indian men. Fortunately, I multiple certificates (CCIE, AWS Cloud, Cybersecurity) so I provide services as a contractor to avoid those microaggressions within a full-time position.

I'm curious about how you feel about how folks exhibit pro-black biased BEHAVIOR. Blacks and whites both have a pro black bias. I just found a study that shows that black people have three times more pro-black bias than white people have. So it's no wonder that black people feel like they're being treated unfairly and unfortunately everyone is buying into it. Here is the video with 17 cited sources. Start at 18 minutes and 13 seconds and hear the stunning conclusion at 21 minutes and 22 seconds. The 17 studies are cited. Over-all they show a pro-black bias.

Large corporations fall into these patterns easily. if ur a mom and pop store with less than 7 employees pretty easy to catch people out for wrongdoing. But a large corporation with thousands of employees there is only so much you can do to know what each manager is doing never mind each employee.
All peoples of the world have built some cocoons based on perceived life group… We WIN this way 🙄

This is what "affirmative action" created and causes: When affirmative action was put into play it helped lesser qualified black people get positions over a more qualified individual of another race. Well.. now they expect it. If Google came out and wanted to do things by the book and elected to hire the highest qualification for an important role in the establishment, and a black person had also applied for the position but was lesser qualified – That same person could file a grievance and that's probably how this started. Let me just tell you…this is a terrible mess we are in. Skin color does not matter and the only reason that it holds such high regard is because they won't shut up about it. Racism exists because they won't shut up about it. We're tired of hearing about it. This is why their communities are in shambles-not because of white people or systemic racism – it's because of crap like this. They have become complacent with black privilege. The problems will never be solved because they aren't addressing the real problem. If they were really trying to be outstanding they wouldn't WANT to be hired over a more qualified candidate.
This is with the utmost respect – and again skin color doesn't matter. There are black men and women who are leaders. But this..this is an example of how racism has ruined society…and it has nothing to do with white people.
Well, who's surprised? Even Tesla has a segregated area called The Plantation. Racism is everywhere… Dammit!
What's more likely?
1) Google has black employees who would create great products and make them a ton of money if those employees worked in design or coding, but are choosing not to take advantage of these employees' abilities due to racism.
2) The complaining employee(s) aren't actually capable of such things, and are either overestimating their abilities or lying for a payout.

I too have seen this all my life, I single handedly coded one of the first viable XML commerce systems in 2000 and when the company won an innovation award I didn't know until I asked where was everybody. All the white guys who had nothing to do with designing and writing the system were at the awards ceremony "stepping and fetching around" like a bunch of addled peacocks while I had not even been told. Later some of the people giving the awards appeared without appointment in the office. They said they had wanted to see who was really doing the work.

jobs: You get pay for the position you apply for. If you want a better position, or there is an opening in the same company with a higher pay, the chances for you in getting that job is 10%.
You have to understand that: If you what a better pay, or apply for a better job, or position, you have to move to another company. Period. Learn that. MOVE ON.
