Gov Abbot sent hwy patrol in there a few yrs ago. They stayed 6 wks, reduced crime by 30 something percent. But the locals didn't like it because they were getting too many moving violations. Running red lts, stop signs, not using signals to turn, yada, yada. So they complained to high heaven and they left. So, here we are, back where we started.
