I would like to say that to keep quiet is very discouraging. We didn't even know Brittney had been detained since February. Yes she is a young Black female athlete, from the United States. Why do we keep dividing athletes based on their gender. However if she was a white female WNBA player, there would have been an outcry. It was reported that her condition is good. How can that be being 6ft 9 not having a proper bed. Brittney has been traveling to Russia since 2015 playing basketball. I think she should have been aware of the consequences, but all the facts have not been presented. As a Black woman I will continue to give support. During the sixties ,we did not keep silent. After a few months, Brittney moves from pre-trial detention to a prison for convicts. There she will have more "freedom". One way to overcome the unbearable monotony is if she can work in prison. In the prisons of Russia, there are mainly sewing machines. She can then work 6 – 8 hours as a seamstress in prison.
