The Senate passed a $1.5 trillion appropriations package on Thursday that included $13.6 billion in emergency humanitarian and military aid for Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
This funding will provide food, shelter, clean water, medical supplies and other forms of assistance. We are also announcing an additional $320 million in democracy and human rights funding to Ukraine and its neighbors. Since 2021, the United States has provided over $1.1 billion in economic, health, democracy and human rights, and humanitarian assistance to the Europe and Eurasia region.
In addition to assisting people in need within Ukraine, we are supporting the efforts of Ukraine’s neighbors and the European Union to welcome and host millions of refugees. And we will do our part to welcome Ukrainians to the United States.
Today, the United States is announcing that we are prepared to provide more than $1 billion in new funding towards humanitarian assistance for those affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine and its severe impacts around the world, including a marked rise in food insecurity, over the coming months.

OTAL LIAR.
The United States is proud to be the largest single donor of humanitarian, democracy, and human rights assistance to Ukraine, working closely with our European partners.
But Vladimir Putin himself appeared to take the insult in his stride. After all, it plays to his main idea: that the West is Russophobic, a hostile force. Mr Putin said Joe Biden was simply seeing his own traits in the Russian leader and argued that the US was a murderous state – with a list of shameful chapters in its history from slavery to the atomic bombs dropped on Japan
Mr Putin also accused the US of committing genocide against native Americans and exterminating civilians in World War Two by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
In addition to the weapons listed above, previous United States assistance committed to Ukraine includes:
Over 600 Stinger anti-aircraft systems;
Approximately 2,600 Javelin anti-armor systems;
Five Mi-17 helicopters;
Three patrol boats;
Four counter-artillery and counter-unmanned aerial system tracking radars;
Four counter-mortar radar systems;
200 grenade launchers and ammunition;
200 shotguns and 200 machine guns;
Nearly 40 million rounds of small arms ammunition and over 1 million grenade, mortar, and artillery rounds;
70 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) and other vehicles;
Secure communications, electronic warfare detection systems, body armor, helmets, and other tactical gear;
Military medical equipment to support treatment and combat evacuation;
Explosive ordnance disposal and demining equipment; and
Satellite imagery and analysis capability.
The new $800 million assistance package includes:
800 Stinger anti-aircraft systems;
2,000 Javelin, 1,000 light anti-armor weapons, and 6,000 AT-4 anti-armor systems;
100 Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems;
100 grenade launchers, 5,000 rifles, 1,000 pistols, 400 machine guns, and 400 shotguns;
Over 20 million rounds of small arms ammunition and grenade launcher and mortar rounds;
25,000 sets of body armor; and
25,000 helmets.
President Biden today announced an additional $800 million in security assistance to Ukraine, bringing the total U.S. security assistance committed to Ukraine to $1 billion in just the past week, and a total of $2 billion since the start of the Biden Administration.
The shipment is part of the additional $200 million of "lethal aid" approved by President Biden in late December and includes ammunition for Ukraine's front-line defenders, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv tweeted. Overall, the U.S. has provided $650 million in defense equipment and services to Ukraine in the past year — the most it has ever given that country, according to the State Department.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States is promising up to $60 million in military aid to Ukraine in advance of a White House meeting on Wednesday between President Joe Biden and his counterpart in Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelenskyy
“The department encourages Ukraine to continue to enact reforms that strengthen civilian control of the military, promote increased transparency and accountability in defense industry and procurement, and modernize its defense sector in other key areas in line with NATO principles and standards,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

Biden administration announces $125M military aid package for Ukraine
Ukraine is locked in a costly struggle with Russia. Former President Trump was impeached for allegedly withholding aid to pressure the country to investigate the Bidens.
March 2, 2021, 7:42 AM EST
By The Associated Press
WASHINGTON — The Pentagon on Monday announced a $125 million military aid package for Ukraine, including two armed patrol boats to help the country defend its territorial waters.
The remaining $150 million in military aid approved by Congress for the 2021 budget year will not be provided until the departments of State and Defense are in position to certify to Congress that Ukraine has made “sufficient progress on key defense reforms this year,” the Pentagon said.
The new package will include more Javelin anti-tank missiles, which Kyiv sees as critical to defending against the Russia-backed separatists who have rolled through eastern Ukraine.
Uncle Vlady has been insulting everyone else as a playground bully, and now uncle Joe bullied back by saying NO. In my opinion there's nothing in that to be offended at. How long still quarrel of the hardest kind should stand: Please talk to each other. Beloved Ukraini sould be offended by the god's heavens of what's happened to Ukraini. By god she, Ukraini, is offended to the stars. Let's mend it all in the end. Long live Ukraini! 🇺🇦 Also, please, Russian mothers, take care of your family. Please?
"For God's sake this man cannot remain in power", I feel the same way about Biden!
I dont want to hear that "words hurt" or Smith has "painful issues" either! Dont you think that EVERY DAY PEOPLE who ASSULT SOMEONE ELSE JUST LIKE SMITH, HAVE PAINFUL ISSUES OF THEIR OWN??? THEY WOULD STILL GET ARRESTED AND LOCKED UP, "ISSUES' OR NO "ISSUES"! WHY ISNT THAT MTHRFKR BEING CHARGED?!?!?
Will Smith was protecting his wife. Chris Rock is a professional comedian , he should know that’s not nice to play with somebody’s wife mainly with a medical condition. Learned lesson for both. Will Smith probably will find more peaceful way to stop abuse like the one towards his wife. On the other hand Chris Rock probably will try to be more careful in how he creates his comedy.
WE ALL would be sitting in a jail cell right now if we did EXACTLY what Smith did. Must be our "PRIVILEGE"!

Warner: Putin is the one individual trying to make regime change in Europe
BY JOSEPH CHOI
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) said on Sunday said Russian President Vladimir Putin is the one seeking to initiate a regime change after President Biden suggested Putin should be removed from power over the weekend.
Dana Bash, host of CNN's "State of the Union," asked Warner if he believed Biden's remarks in Poland had done any damage. During a speech in Warsaw, Biden called Putin a "butcher" and added "for God's sake, this man cannot remain in power."
Well, Dana, there is one individual that's trying to make regime change in Europe. And that's Vladimir Putin trying to change the regime in Ukraine," said Warner, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
"At the end of the day, the regime in Russia will be determined by the Russian people. And I hope the Russian people will make those decisions going forward," he added.
Putin needs to understand that Russian affairs need to stay within the borders of Russia! When he pushes his affairs upon other countries, they have the right to defend themselves. With whatever power they have and,or may obtain. Putin is a serial killer, nothing more. And he has been for many years.
