Sorry, if it truly was "gross neglect " I guess it's a game changer, however I still feel empathy for this nurse singularly, being she clearly wasn't the only staff member not following protocols put in place for safety reasons. This nurse was the scapegoat, sadly, they should all be punished in some way
On drugs
Even a tow truck driver or a mechanic can be charged if they were as grossly negligent as this nurse. It's not remotely about the nursing profession, it's about gross negligence beyond a reasonable doubt.
Every responsible medical professional has due respect for the lives that are in their hands, unlike this woman, who tarnished the nursing profession.
If I were the nurse, I would counter sue. I would file a suit against all the hospitals that are following the murderous covid protocol to treat ICU patients that they try to immediately intubate whether they need it or not, with no plan to extubate. They do it for the federal grants and also to avoid losing their medicaid and medicare funding which Biden threatened to take away if hospitals do not comply. The patient has no rights under covid – not even to see if the covid test was negative or positive. The patient cannot request proven successful protocols for treatment. The patient is isolated from family. Some people are cremated without the family being informed. Elderly people, people with other health issues such as pneumonia or cancer etc are fodder for the hospital and the Covid Federal Grant Program. This is genocide to the nth degree.
On that basis, the nurse should be exonerated because she was not trying to commit murder. She was distracted from her duties and I would bet that she will not ever do that again. She should get probation, not have her license revoked. There should be no way to override the safety protocol for administering medication. And Most Importantly, pharmaceutical companies should have to avoid at all costs, look-alike, sound-alike medications, especially when it concerns life or death.
I hope she goes to jail. Murder is murder.
No errors allowed
Nurses at my job are always on their phones, talking about what they are going to order online, neglecting or completely ignoring patients asking for help or gossiping about other women instead of doing their jobs. Wouldn't surprise me if she did this too before she killed this woman.
17 mistakes. Of course she should be jailed. That's not professionalism.
1st I thought "For a sincere mistake?" But that list of mistakes shows this was more neglectful than sincere mistake esp 16 & 17. People in other industries also have a duty to follow safety protocols & most are there for valid reasons. They aren't meant to be skipped over.
This is extremely tragic. But the day you think it can't effect you, it will. There is a common belief among the intellectually challenged that an "accidental" death of an impaired is "not such a big deal".
Do not help out in the upcoming CoVid waves let them care for themselves. You will be invalidated and scapegoated for deaths of people you couldn’t save no matter how hard you tried, they will be force you to work in unsafe, unwinable,, unlawful conditions and then drag you through the courts. Let them choke on their own secretions and their own gross neglect by making decisions to not vaccinate or mask up. Let the lawyers care for themselves and the judges
Attention to details!
This is an extremely dangerous precedent……it never should’ve gone this far, and should’ve stopped after she was stripped of her license.
I went to a ER sick as a dog. I told them I have CHF and a few other conditions…. and they still prescribed me Erythromycin 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Thank God my mother works in the medical field too and caught it.
That med could of killed me because of my CHF if I would've taken it. I had to wait the weekend sick and go to my primary care doctor 😕
I'm pretty sure that was right after they said for heart condition patients not to take it because it had killed others
Yeah mistakes happen, but why don't you make sure what medication you are using? Maybe read labels.
Wow, meanwhile we have cops shooting unarmed black folks killing them, yet no charges. If there was charges 99% of the time the are never found guilty. Crazy. It's not even an accident
How do they allow her lawyer to come up and lie on the news when she made over 17 mistakes in 5 minutes? That's not a mistake that's an intentional homicide!!!!
Thats why they tell people being trained to do medications to check the five rights it means this: use the “five rights”: the right patient, the right drug, the right dose, the right route, and the right time. Thats for lay people being trained in group homes to administer medications. We should have a higher standard for nurses. Yes delivering the wrong medication is legally actionable. Especially by a nurse.
Nurse's are understaffed and overworked are we really surprised that when hospitals choose profits over patients, patients die?!
My mother is on hospice and her nurse withheld and depraved my mother from her meds. I'm sure the owner was also behind this malice behavior..
It is a nurses responsibility to make sure she gives a patient the accurate medication. It's not accidental…..it's neglence meaning you did not take the time to assure that this patient was given the appropriate medication. This is not acceptable and she should be charged and jailed for her actions. A person loss their life. You don't make mistakes (neglence) when it concerns someone's life.
gross neglect
It’s terrible but that’s the only way things change! Things only change when bad things happen in any profession !
If your terrified don't be a nurse means your not confident. Gross neglect she was accountable
I am a Nurse (retired) this is wrong. There are repercussions for neglect. If that is the case these should apply. Your going to worsen the nursing shortage. And place blame instead of examining and addressing the REAL ISSUES.
The nurse was to blame she has a responsibility to the patient and this mistake cost someone their life.
This is why I left bedside nursing and I am never going back. I happy with my Quality Assurance RN position. I check the books and make sure all the rules and regulations are being followed.
This is why it's important to have a visitor/body guard with you, while getting medical care!
I mean, that’s kind of an important thing to think about. Making “mistakes” can cost people their lives. That is nothing to blow over
But not the cops they have immunity . The prosecutors bite at the bit to go after other professions.
How do you get charged for an accidental crime. It was an accident. Nobody perfect not even people in that field of work.
This is why I quit nursing always drama, I will never go back to much BS all the time. Good luck finding nurses any more. Family's need to step up and take care of sick family members. SJ
Lock her up and throw the book at her she knew exactly what she was doing! You can't make that mistake!
Alert !! Supreme Court and DOJ may be compromised!
"This is a fight of good versus evil. Evil always looks like the victor until the King of Kings triumphs. Do not grow weary in well doing. The fight continues. MEADOWS TEXT TO THOMAS
…Putin = Trump
Trumpism is a support for Putin. Wake up and Lock Trump up and support freedom.
Stop The Steal – Don't let Trumps steal our Democracy and make us like Russia!
Democracy will FAIL if Trump doesn't get indicted!
DOJ Garland has promised to hold Trump insurrectionist accountable, but he has not.
NY DA Bragg is probably corrupt because he wont arrest trump for crimes braggs office has well documented.
Our government is infiltrated at all levels with Trumpist.
no major arrest for seditious conspiracy leaders. The disgraced former president Trump, Trumps chief of staff, and a gang of congressional members in the House and Senate continue to conspired to undermine American democracy.
we want accountability for the following –
1. meadows doesnt appear in front of commission that is contempt of congress… doj wont arrest him is unethical. he didn't appear, what more evidence is needed? ……DOJ Failed
mark meadows says he lived in a n. Carolina mobile home he has never lived in. what would a multimillionaire be doing living in a mobile home…..what a cheat, but he is being investigated for this voter fraud crime.
2. "hang mike pence"…criminal threat……DOJ Failed
3. offering pardons… witness tampering……DOJ Failed
4. inciting violence Jan 6 ……DOJ Failed
5. ToiletGate – trump destroyed government documents and took secret documents home after losing his job! see presidential records act for details of the law he violated.
6. interfering with elections……DOJ Failed
7. contempt of congress……DOJ Failed
8. fake electors ……DOJ Failed
9. kelly ward and spouse and others, impersonating as government electors even after Barr and Pence said one could not do that……DOJ Failed
10. Jeffrey Clark – co-conspirator for trying to weaponized the department of justice to overturn the election
11. Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act applies to what Trump did.
By summer time, Georgia will enter phase 2 of their prosecution efforts for election interference…… how slow.
12. what about enforcing the 14th amendment of the Constitution of the United States? get rid of Cawthorn under section 3 of the 14th Amendment
13. muller investigation……DOJ Failed…. statue of limitation expired!
14. Will New York speak with Trump under oath? No because of corruption. New York DOJ appears to be supporting Trumps so dont expect progress there!
alvin bragg is another DA that supports Trumpism. Trump committed a crime and is not being prosecuted. New York should remove bragg from office.
actions speak louder than speculation, at this time I am convinced Garland wont prosecute Trump or any top insurrectionist. Only time will reveal why! in time Trump will be mentally broken or dead and then this insurrection nonsense will slowly die too. how sad that some people get away with murder!
virgina thomas, wife of supreme court justice Clarence Thomas is an insurrectionist too. it was discovered that she was pushing for the election overthrow. Ginni Thomas, the conservative activist who’s married to Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas, repeatedly pressed Trump’s White House chief of staff to pursue efforts to overturn the 2020 election
