Police were cowards, to concerned with their safety rather than going straight in to the school to stop this madman- they waited over 30 minutes before going in to the school.
The Government NEEDS to PROTECT SCHOOLS, EVEN IF YOU PREVENT SOME ONE FROM ACCESS TO A GUN, THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO PROTECT THE SCHOOLS FROM ANY ATTACK, BE IT ATTACKS WITH GUNS BOMBS & SUCH !

God help the children and their parents. Every officer there should be charged for involuntary murder of the 8 to 9 children and the teacher still alive after the 12:05 call. Then fire the rest of the department. There is NO safety in this life accept that which we provide ourselves, a right inestimable to us to enforce OUR right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That right only works when exercised. We have been sold a delusion of safety and payed far too much and I do not mean the taxes that were wasted, something far far more precious was taken from these families. The parents have the RIGHT to defend their children. The police have NO rights to interfere in parents protecting their child's right to life. The entire adult faculty at every school in OUR nation must be armed and train accordingly, this is the new prerequisite for working in a school. As this experience has shown us, we cannot rely on others to enforce our rights and safety. That responsibility falls on each and every one of us. They are our taxes, our schools and WE that make the rules. We have been made to believe the opposite of those truths. Schools are a target to murderous madmen for the very reason that there is no defense, defend them and they are no longer an easy target. Parents have every right to to ensure their defense by any means they deem necessary to preserve their families right to life. I and many like me mourn with the families for every life that has been so egregiously taken. True evil prevails only when the good and decent fail to rise. Your rights do not end where the coward's fears begin. May peace one day find you again.
I think one step is to stop the purchase of assault rifles for people under the age of 25.
Teachers aren’t officers. They did not sign up to give their lives. Especially when officers at the school aren’t willing ti give up theirs.
The sad piece is that they had to kill the gunman, not allowing him to live to face people he has hurt and the cell that follows them charges. RIP to all our future.
My 4 days vacation was supposed to be calm and easy, but now, my heart bleeds once again. Why do we keep on hurting others my people, especially our helpless Children who we must love and care for, eh? Why hurt them? It's incomprehensible how a Human Being could such a thing. My heart is with you, the lost ones and their families. I have been in many classrooms and even under trees trying to learn and great teachers make our World go round, so why harm them? Eh?

They said earlier “The shooter never had any history of mental health problems”, then the same police department answered the (what is the problem) question “we have a mental health problem in this community” now that is some serious BS! Are they blind, a teen with animal abuse history, a destroyed family, who is cutting himself can buy two not one assault rifles on his birthday, go to a school shooting kids while police is outside doing nothing for 29 minutes, that is a fkn problem.

Ok I'm a bit pissed off right now. The Texas governor is blaming the slaying of 19 children on mental illness… i am by no means unpatriotic or anti America. But America is straight savage. The truth of the matter is those babies lost their lives because of unspoken agendas. Gun reform is not even the issue that's all smoke and mirrors. America stay tuned because in the near future the current privacy laws will soon be under absolute attack. Since we are constantly losing lives at alarming rates disease, suicide, sudden illness, drug overdoses, pandemic, mass shooting, other gun violence racial violence and all the other crimes originating behind closed doors it will ultimately be resolved by allowing privacy to be made obsolete in order to control all of the world's recent tragedies. May I add it is a process that is currently active but being done illegally. Edward Snowden let us know about that aspect.

Let’s say there’s a room full of kids, you give them guns. They start to shoot each other, how do you stop it? You take the guns away. Now there’s no more death….is that so fucking hard to understand? I went to Texas a little while ago and saw a CHILD the kid was no more than 9 or 10 years old, he had a gun on his hip as did his dad next to him….wtf does the kid need a gun for if the father already has one. Wtf man. Take em away, these old amendments need to be updated.
He can’t even buy a beer legally. Can’t drive a car with out an adult supervised drivers test and written exam. And yet he can walk into a neighborhood gun shop that sells battlefield weapons and a trunk full of ammunition with ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY! NONE!
Common sense gun laws… Mandatory background check. It's real easy if you have been diagnosed with mental illness, have history of violent behavior or domestic violence within 10yrs, or you are a felon, you cannot legally purchase a gun from a licensed gun dealer or private owner. Mandatory 30 waiting period. I do not agree with 18-year-olds being permitted to purchase firearms either…this is why. I also think that if you own a firearm that's registered to you (rifles and shotguns should be registered as well), and it is used in a violent crime because you didn't secure the weapon, that weapon is used in a violent crime, then the owner should be held liable for the same sentence for the same offense as the person who committed the crime.
There needs to be laws to ensure public safety and ensure responsible gun owners are the ones who have "guns". I am all about ensuring that all of our rights, including the second amendment are upheld. With that said all of our rights come with a responsibility both from those exercising their rights and from the government.
