Maybe they should protect them from the third world trash they are importing.
I'm a mom and I never felt comfortable posting pictures of my kids online. I did it a little bit in the first years I was on Facebook, but hardly anything in subsequent years, and there were two reasons: 1) THIS. This tracking of my children by unsavory people, and 2) My kids' privacy. They don't need me to build a digital footprint for them before they have a say. For years if I wanted to share images of my kids on social media I asked for their permission, which means I hardly bother posting photos at all. The people who matter most don't need to see them there. But this does encourage me to go back and remove those early photos. An important message, but I suspect it will hardly change people's habits.
Reporting AI-generated images doesn’t address the manual efforts needed to take down the image, stop production of new content of your child, and track the criminal. Massive Pandora’s box that parents really should be aware of.
