I think about all of the Journalists in Gaza that have died trying to get the story out about your situation in this genocidal war.
Because of you, people around the world have seen what is really going on. People who otherwise would never have known. Whatever happens, the Journalists in Gaza will always be remembered as the heroes that they were.

The death of a loved one is always tragic, but the donning of a PRESS vest is not a shield for yourself, let alone for one's family. Nor does it afford protection for ones family in a war zone, yet they reside there. Residents of Gaza claim innocence while celebrating Hamas. The French have a word for this "collaborateur," you can figure out the translation, I'm sure. After WW2, millions of French claimed they were freedom fighters, members of the "Resistance," the opposite was true. They even enacted laws making it a crime to report the truth, even at this late date. The same in Gaza, millions claim to be innocent but are actually "collaborateurs!" Active supporters of Hamas. The chances of this "hero" member of the Press Corp being something less than "innocent" as he reports positively for Hamas approach zero. I'm sure he is viewed as a spy outside the Arab community. My condolences on the loss of his family.

One story on this with little context. Israel has been killing journalists in Gaza at a ridiculous rate. This was a targeted drone strike against the press. It seems pretty plain that Israel is trying to take out any journalists not subject to their censors. They are looking to make their own propaganda the only source of information on Gaza. And what do we get in the US? Softball interviews of Israeli officials and propaganda approved by the IDF.
It is fake to say the suffering for Gaza is extreme when Hamas still willingly holds kidnapped hostages, giving Israel legal justification to rescue them

All death is unfortunate as is this one. But when you take such risks to be embedded with a declared terrorist organization such as Hamas to cover the news, there is also that risk that you will be caught up in bombardments from Israel. Again, very unfortunate, but I'm sure he knew the risks he was taking.
