What the prosecutor did today was overkill and it's going to backfire. He came off as a bully, twisting the words of the defendant and putting words in his mouth. He could've made the same effective points in less time. He has only succeeded in encouraging sympathy from the jury for AM. Today was counterproductive for the State. Get to the murder and stop placing all your weight on the financial aspect only!
He's guilty of all the other stuff, but State haven't proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, he murdered them.
I thought that Mr. Murdaugh taking the stand today was actually a success. I think he did a great job in portraying humility, showing genuine emotions and and staying calm. I started off knowing he was guilty of the murders, especially after the prosecution finished their inquiries. I’ve watched every day. But after today, I definitely have a shadow of a doubt. It will be interesting how it affected the jury.
Just watched the Netflix show about him. He’s a compulsive liar and not a very good one at that. This family is proof that if a person gets away with crime instead of going to prison they will only commit bigger and worse crimes until they’re caught.
