Here's the kicker, US media is showing a wide-screen view of a modern African state. Usually they will only show closely cropped images of such areas less it become clear how much the US is declining. They will widescreen impoverished or rural areas however that support the old narrative. Africa by and large is becoming developed and has new, first rate infrastructure that rivals that in many places in the US.
