That's not an apology 😒. They just did that to make themselves look good. The drug cartel need to pay for all the damage. The funeral arrangements for the dead victims and medical bills for the ones that was hurt. The apology would be more credible if they did that. That apology letter is not enough to atone from all crime that was committed that involved innocent lives.

Sometimes when you get kidnapped in mexico its not always cartels.. some other small groups of criminals that think its easy until cartel starts chopping they hands off.
This turned out so different. They could have gotten away with it, but they decided to turn them in.
It was not the cartel who apologized. The local government wrote the apology to avoid federal government and america getting more involved. They could find out very dirty business if they keep searching…
