We have all seen this video before.
Corporate America laid off 40,000 employees in an attempt to block Obama from winning a second term with high unemployment. When this did not work corporate America collectively stopped all capital investments. This led to the mortgage crisis that they falsely blamed on toxic mortgages. When people do not have jobs they can't pay their mortgages. The same holds true for small business owners, they are forced to lay off their employees, and they too are no longer able to pay their mortgages when the cash flow stops.
So, within weeks of each other Twitter and Meta laid off 11,000 employees each. Now Amazon is announcing they are going to lay off 10,000 employees. It is already underway to block Biden from a second term using the same tactics they used against Obama.

They tweaked system so bunch people ended up in bottom 5 % fired them, increased overtime.. obviously best performers get burned out n quit in couple weeks.. Amazon will be left with no one do the job

It somewhat makes sense considering the factor that they hired more people during the pandemic to keep up with demand of at home shopper – what doesn't add up is why let go of employees right before the holidays? Considering both accounts that they will see an uptick in online shopping for Thanksgiving + Christmas from *customers, AND their workers need the extra money to keep up with holiday expectations. Make it make sense.

Amazon can't get rid of warehouse workers. these cuts will come from management and engineering (many people don't know this, but Amazon runs a cloud that powers many, many of the websites, apps, and games we all play – Amazon is way more than their online store)

10K workers out of 1.5 million worldwide. They probably have that much turnover +/- monthly just by people coming and going. They'll probably add 10x that by Christmas to ramp up for holiday shipping. Counter that to Twitter's 8K layoffs being 50%+ of the company.
Retaliation for unionizing?
Yey go Biden! We did it. Screw these rich people. As long as low income housing, food stamp, child care and cash aid is there for minorities who cares about rich people losing their jobs.
Amazon had an overage of employees even during the pandemic. It was bound to happen, thankfully I don’t work there anymore.
