In Colorado Springs, 5 people were killed at an LGBTQ nightclub. The alleged shooter is facing possible hate crime charges, as well as five counts of first-degree murder. And two days later, in Chesapeake, Virginia, 6 people were killed in a Walmart by a disgruntled employee who then turned the gun on himself.

Well was it not Reagan that did away with the mental hospitals and systems we had? As a FFL I work with firearms quite a bit, having also been a firearm owner in Europe, personally I feel the NRA is not what it originally was, I see plenty of gun owners they have no clue what they are doing, don’t follow general safety with the tools they own. With every right we have, they come with responsibilities. It is like the people that take a job, sign the employment handbook, and then claim it is their right to violate the rules and complain when they get fired. It is tragic these things happen. I don’t know the answer, banning something does not help. Murder is banned, drug trafficking is banned, human trafficking is banned and it still goes on daily. The 1994 did not stop anything, it changed the cosmetics of what was sold, raised the prices, limited the supply, limited where it could be made, but still legally bought a AR in that time period, and sold it back to a shop a few years later as had no interest in it.
We need protection but we also need gun legislation..
So how do you strike a viable balance that will address both concerns 🤔
