Eight workers were injured in New Haven, Connecticut after a building where crews were pouring concrete suddenly caved in. This comes as rescuers in Davenport, Iowa are beginning a long-awaited dig for survivors at a different collapse. NBC News’ Maggie Vespa has details on both.

WHY DO YOUR BUILDINGS KEEP COLLAPSING…? I now live in Bulgaria, we have earthquakes and lots of old communist buildings – they don't collapse…
What we need is more deregulation and less government oversight to fix stuff like this! Let the industry regulate itself so profits are central to industry standards and most importantly remove any/all criminal penalties and it will be complete! 👍

The building was bowing and the authorities did not make sure repairs were made immediately???? What kind of inspecting system to they have in Davenport??…. Ignore the problem til it falls down??….. It's all about accountability and responsibility!! Here in Fitchburg Massachusetts, there was road work being done converting a side roadway into a landscaped walkway. A problem was noticed in the adjacent wall of one of the many old buildings we are lucky enough to have. Immediately the wall was braced, repairs were made, building infrastructure stabilized…. then work on the walkway was continued! ….Now that is what responsible building maintenance is all about!!…. Bravo Fitchburg!!! We have excellent building codes, maintenance and high quality materials used here!! Our buildings don't "just collapse"!!…. and most of the towns structures are at least 150 years old if not more!!! 😊
I think the city is allowing folks from other countrys with little to none construction back ground to build these structures.
So sad to see construction projects fail, when it happens it will be never recovers

It is rather dark under the remaining portion, but I don't see any shoring system at all. Did they put it up in the wrong direction so it all tipped over at once? I wouldn't be surprised after the school field press box that had no joist hangers that collapsed on the news. The USA is degenerating from lies and corruption. Rich corrupt idiots can only hire and promote bigger corrupt idiots who don't threaten them with justice.
Built by those “hard working” immigrants👀👀im concerned because so many accolades are bestowed upon them yet time again we witness shoddy work. When FBA built America the buildings still stand to this day💯 White House, Capitol, early constructed infrastructure, even plantation homes are still intact👍what’s up with that?
