Apple is expected to start enforcing a new policy that requires employees to come into their workplace three days a week as other major tech companies begin to map out their return to office plans. NBC News’ Steve Patterson reports on how employees are now pushing back and demanding more flexibility for work.

Why is that not good values to want your team to be back in the office?! Maybe 3 days is excessive but still the pt is to come back in to build rapport you can’t do thru a camera.

If work can be done from home, then what’s stopping these big tech companies from training and hiring people in the Philippines or India.
You get someone to do the same job for less and you save money from not having a expensive office in city’s were crime gets worse everyday

Apple's values have been turning into crap lately. Management has gotten way too high on their "Power" and it's becoming very obvious in the retail stores.
A union for office workers starting to sound good, because I have a feeling that CEOs won’t flinch unless real consequences are put on the table.
They are trying to reduce the work force…. If you were the best, like literally top 1% of programmer, I am sure you can still do whatever.
Office workers should start a collective bargaining organization. If employees will use there full leverage, i.e., fire people, for not doing exactly what they want, then workers should use their full leverage by saying in mass that they won’t work if certain benefits are not guaranteed.
If employees can go out with their friends and family and go to bars etc then they can go back to work face to face or find another job
Keep them home we don't need that extra traffic

The older employee is still hiding behind COVID as the reason he doesn't want to return to work, in September 2022———-so you know he's a fraud who just likes the easier pace at home. Sorry, bad viruses don't mean you get 5 years off from showing up at work.
People want to work from home because they know, be able to wage theft, and by that, I mean, they'll be able to take more breaks than they should, be able to chat on phone with friends, and friends come over etc. You want to work from home, then your benefits should be cut in half. Remember most companies are at will employment meaning they can fire you for anything they want, at any time. People need to realize, everyone is replaceable, and what you think your labor is worth, is just that, what you think it is, not what someone is willing to pay,
After a few years of being at home smoking dabs and having the fridge in the next room structure not sounding so good lol.
If people argue they should be allowed to 100% WFH, what's to stop the company from capitalizing on that work model and totally outsourcing their job for some cheap offshore labor?
These mf are over paid and now demanding to be work from home. Those that want to work remotely will be force to take a pay cut by the company I believed.

Remote work has its ramifications on the local economy. Restaurants/ small businesses that benefit from the commute are hurting. Not to mention commercial real estate is hurting as well. I guess they will have to pivot. People should be able to work from home, especially if it’s productive.
I’ve worked in tech for over a decade and for the majority of that time, I’ve spent 2hrs a day commuting to and from an office where most of my day was spent in front of a computer working with people in different parts of the world. Working in the office is unnecessary and inefficient for a lot of tech jobs.
Get back to work!
I invested in Exxon and State Farm insurance Stocks – how can we get a profit if you don't burn fossil fuels driving to work and possibly getting in an accident. Apple is trash !

WFH gave good managers the opportunity to really shine by enabling their employee success remotely. You see it again and again, the managers that want to return to work are the much weaker Lumbergh's of the world micro managing everything and in so doing becoming the primary obstacle to progress. Apple with the rare blatant display of poor management! Probably a good time to be recruiting talent away from Apple.
Just tell them the grab there big boy pants and come to work or your fired . If you work hard and stop crying so much I might consider a having a EBITA party .

I am a truck driver and I want to work from home too, driving from my house without leaving home.
Lol when working on a computer at home is a problem…. If the job gets done then I say let them keep working from home.
