The real issue with these loans has always been Government Guarantees to the loaning companies themselves.
If Student Debt was treated like any other debt, then the Loaning Company would hold some of the risk as well. Without that risk element, not only have these Loaning Companies been skipping the Due-Diligence part of the process but they are financially incentivized to give out bad loans. Those will take a lot longer to pay back, generating massive amounts of interest, and can never be discharged due to Bankruptcy thanks to that government guarantee.
Companies formed in the 90's with the sole purpose to lending money to people who never could pay it back….
Knowing a massive pay day of Federal Funds was the only outcome, easy money with no risk attached!

If Rs are going to keep claiming we have open borders, the gvmt should end ALL money spent on border security. If students getting a SMALL forgiveness on their loans is terrible, I EAGERLY await the uproar from Rs about the MASSIVE amount that politicians have received, that businesses have received, that corporations and CEOs and billionaires have received. What about the 8 billion the church received meant for small businesses?

The fault is that they are being sent without notice. What's the big problem in just saying they are on their way with an ETA? Oh, yea, you don't want them greeted. You want it to be horrendous for everyone when, frankly, they are glad to get out of your state and Democratic states are glad to have them. Of course, your state won't give up any of the money the federal government gives you as a border town which is why the Democratic state have a right to complain in being forced to be a border town without the federal money (albeit not enough) that the government does hand over. None of the infrastructure that's been invested in your state has been invested in the states you choose to ship people off to. But that was the point. To make it horrible for everyone else while keeping the monetary end of it for yourselves and then laughing at everyone else's "misfortune" that you caused. Give yourselves a hand for sticking to real Republican values and watch us Democratics fix your mess again. We're pretty used to it.

Another question that should be asked is what percentage of your student loans actually went to education, and what percentage went to cars, spring break vacations, your marijuana Etc

The reason that college costs so much is because the cost is artificially inflated with subsidy. Same thing with healthcare. If there was no subsidized system, they would lower their prices or go OUT OF BUSINESS.
Everyone should pay their debts. If we forgive businesses and their debts, we should forgive individual students with their debts. Let’s just be consistent. If corporations and the top 0.1% can pay 4% in taxes, then everyone should pay 4% in taxes. Let’s just be consistent.

The Arizona Constitution clearly states that education: “shall be as nearly free as possible” (Arizona Constitution, Article XI, Section VI). So why isn't Brnovich doing something about that? He is supposed to be upholding the Arizona Constitution…

Biden's crime won't succeed. He doesn't have the power to forgive loans. Only congress can make that decision. It just needs to look feasible until after midterms.
