Red flags.. you knew him over 20 years..and nothing of his character was noticed..hard to believe..Respect the Victims not the Predators. And if you believed what you wrote, why are you apologising.. doesn’t make any sense. It seems your image and his crime is more important then the victims..
So , if the letters were written to the Judge , how did they become Public ?
You 2 did nothing wrong, and have nothing to apologize for. Your character letters are exactly that and not all victims ate offended. Stay true to who you are. You can't please everyone.
DISGUSTING. They support "VICTIMS" by defending their RAPISTS! Just like they SUPPORT the war in ukraine by SENDING them millions to help keep the bombs alive while innocent people die.

I don't feel that they need to apologize. One, there isn't any tangible proof and they were writing about the person they knew him to be. It would be different if they were knowingly misleading or lying about his character. Otherwise stop apologizing. Most of us would have done the same for those we care about, particularly if we only experienced the good side of them. Everyone doesn't present their monsters to most, rather, they show us their representatives.
You are both weak you just said how you both felt about him .there is nothing wrong with that you worked with him on the show he was a friend to you both then you have to get on here and say your sorry for how you personally feel about someone you worked with for what reason did you feel that away for money and fame. EVERYBODY has skeletons in their closets, Masterson was very good at hiding his and obviously very good at manipulating people , they’ve considered him a close friend and have known him for over 25 years and not seen any reason to doubt him, I’m not going to say they did the wrong thing but if he had been found innocent then nothing more would be said, they would’ve thought they were helping a genuinely good person, I can only imagine how they must have felt to find out he was the opposite, he was their friend for so long, now after finding out the truth, I’m sure they wish they had’ve stayed out of it but it’s too late…
It would be like finding out that one of your relatives was a serial killer…
They’ve spoken up to/and help other victims something very few other celebrities or other people in general have done, I’d guess they both would be pretty angry at how he hid this and had gotten away with it for so long, I believe Ashton & Mila are good people who were genuinely fooled just like everybody else, Masterson didn’t get away with it like he thought and finally got caught and jailed, his victims can at least find a little solace if any in that, let’s keep the focus on the actual monster who is guilty here please
There is no need whatsoever to apologize unless you've done something wrong. Supporting their friend who may in fact be innocent, regardless of his conviction, is very commendable.
I don't think they were wrong if they didn't think that he was wrong. That is their friend. So, of course they think that he is innocent. They should not have apologized if they believed in him.
