Authorities say at least six highway workers were killed after the driver of a grey Acura entered a work zone and struck multiple construction workers. WBAL reports.

Germany. ALL construction sites on autobahns=freeways, have signs that lower the speed of traffic. Usually from 130kph down to 60, and if u get Caught going over that reduced speed, most folks lose their license for 3-6 months. These poor ppl, very ❤breaking….

So so sad. I can tell you, as someone who l recently moved to Baltimore from a different state, the driving here is insane. Absolutely insane and I have yet to see any state troopers or enforcement while driving…It’s pathetic.

Maryland drivers are just terrible in general. They need to be re-educated every year.

Tragic. Here in Aus we have “40 ahead” signs 300-400 metres before the speed change, which is then marked with “40 zone”. There is a repeater sign at 50 metres, then generally every 200 metres, to reassure the driver it is still a 40 zone. Once it’s the end it will say “end 40”. Does America’s have something similar? This is so tragic, working hard only to suffer this.
What should be done, and rarely happens, is to set up a work zone that has traffic slowed, and condensed further upstream to ensure that this does not occur at the actual line of work. The careless mentality of “allowing for zipper” is 100% adding to the congestion. Everyone sees the signs. Police can be put there to arrest everyone that waits until it is absolutely necessary to merge. Responsibility comes before anyone’s desire to be “me first” and “I need to figure out how to miss most of the wait.”
