The way to stop the workers from breaking stuff, is to take the cost of that wheelchair out of their paychecks.
Expecting people to dress up and put on their best manners is absurd. Flying is just another form of mass transit. Mix that with society afraid to hold people accountable and it’s a horrible mix.

This is why I choose to stay home during the holidays with my family. Nowadays, since my parents are in their late 50s/early 60s, if we are going to visit relatives, we visit them before the crazy holiday travel (fly or road) starts (at least 2 weeks before!).

A friend used to be a flight attendant for United Airlines & said that too much trash starting flying on planes once the airlines started the frequent flier miles procedure which makes perfect sense. You wouldn't see people boarding planes in pajamas and bedroom slippers before that procedure was implemented.
I work in the industry and while unruly passengers get the videos and their moment on YouTube or TikTok, they are generally few and far between. You could fly every day for the rest of your life and not see brawls or people dropping their pants in the aisles.
However the fact it happens – not just on Frontier or Spirit but all airlines – is a problem and speaks to modern entitlement. People are brought up to question everything and everybody, and that all authority can be challenged. Rules don’t apply to them, we see this in all facets of society it seems. When these people don’t get what they want, they revert to absurdly rude or indecent behavior.
I’d be in favor of a domestic airline ban on passengers who cause extreme issues or security threats. Flying is a privilege not a right and if you can’t play in the sandbox then you should be banned from it, either for a period of time or (like a minimum of 10 years) or lifetime for the most egregious cases. It should be a deterrent to this sort of behavior that costs airlines and other passengers with their time.

We don’t plan to fly anytime soon. We got caught in the Southwest Airlines Christmas meltdown last year.
This is a first. An airline was presented with verifiable proof of wrongdoing by their employees (specifically the video of the luggage mishandling. Shockingly theres no statement from the airline saying "the individual seen in the video is not our employee. They are employed by a contracting company. We take no responsibility for their actions and will address this with the company directly". Im wondering why they passed up a chance to use their "get out of jail free card". Its worked so well thus far! 🙄

If US airlines work with FAA to enact a 'first-strike' Zero Tolerance policy on this type of disruptive behavior, it would stop.

It’s the low fares that make this an issue. It attracts the low life people who air travel once in a blue moon. Need to get rid of economy class and only have premium economy class. More comfortable flights, less busy airports, better paid staff. Air travel got worse when the big airlines trying to copy the business model of low cost carriers. They got to go back to the way it was before, where quality matters and not volume. Too bad US was car centric society. If we had true high speed rail all over US. People wouldn’t need to rely on air travel so often.
