Researchers are investigating the death of a 52-foot fin whale that washed up on Pacific Beach in San Diego, Calif. KNSD’s Dana Williams spoke with spectators who were shocked by the grim discovery.

I have seen this happen before in So Cal. In Orange County they simply tow it out to sea and let the critters feast. One lifeguard told me it was spectacular to watch the great whites school in and start munching.
