If they can agree on "dreamers" having a pathway to legalization, then they can do so for other undocumented residents. The lady interviewer asked why this hasn't happened in a while. Easy answer: rightwing elements in the government, i.e. from congress to the supreme court, call any attempts to modernize immigration policies & enable people to come out of the shadows "amnesty" and "a reward for violating U.S. laws."
